As the Patent Pilot Program ends, patent litigation cases will see changes as:

• Judges with no patent experience or knowledge will now be assigned patent cases;

• The predictability and expectations from known patent judges will diminish; and

• Litigators may need to work harder to educate judges with no patent knowledge that are assigned their cases.
